Internet Traffic Agent uses filters for analyzes captured IP packets and updates the counters. Every filter has a set of rules: an IP address and a port of the analyzed host, a list of IP addresses. If the analyzed IP packet satisfies the rules, the counters will be updated.
To create a new filter select in the main menu "Filter" - "Add" or press a button 'Add' on the toolbar. After that, you will see the window showed below.
If you want to edit filter rules select a filter item in the main window and press a button 'Edit' on the toolbar or select in the main menu "Filter" - "Edit".
To remove a filter select a filter item in the main window. After that, select in the main menu "Filter" - "Remove" or press a button 'Remove' on the toolbar.
In this dialog you may set the common rules of filter:- Filter name.
In this window you can set the list of IP addresses which you want to be passed or ignored. You can set the specified range of IP addresses or the specified IP address. By default, the list is empty and the filter passes all packets of the host. If the IP address satisfies at least one of the rule in the IP list, the counters will be updated.
To add a range or an IP address to the list, select the action of the filter in the drop-down list, set a specified range or specified IP address and press the button "Add".
To remove a range or an IP address from the list, select it in the list and press the button "Remove".
